About WG Coins
WG Coins sells British and world gold coins online. Sovereigns are the centre of the range, alongside Britannias, the Royal Mint's annual issues, Krugerrands and Maple Leafs, and gold that circulated as money before 1933.
How we describe coins
Every listing sets out the fineness, the fine gold content and the tax position, because those are the facts we can state for certain.
Where a listing covers a range of dates rather than one particular coin — most Sovereign and Double Eagle listings do — it says so, and the date, mint and mintmark you receive will vary. We do not describe those listings as though they were individual specimens, and you cannot choose a date from them.
We do not publish grades, catalogue references or provenance unless we can evidence them for the coin in question. Where the photograph is a library image of the type rather than the coin you will receive, assume it is illustrative and ask if that matters to you.
Asking before you buy
Email is the right way to ask. Tell us the listing and what you need to know — the date range currently on the shelf, how worn the coins are, whether a particular reign or mintmark is available — and we will tell you what we actually hold rather than what the category description says in general.
If we cannot answer something, we will say so.
How buying works
Prices move with the London gold market and are live at the moment they are displayed. You pay in full at the time of ordering, because the metal moves. UK delivery is free, fully insured and signed for, in plain packaging that does not identify the contents.
There is no telephone number, and that is deliberate: by email, your questions, our answers and the order details are all recorded in writing and can be checked afterwards by both of us.

WG Coins is a trading name of WG Holding Group Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17451844. Registered office: 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ.
That address is a registered office, not a shop. There is no public counter, no showroom and no appointments — the business is run online and by email.
What we do not do
We do not give investment advice and we do not give tax advice. What this site says about VAT and Capital Gains Tax is general information about how the exemptions work; your own position is a matter for you and your accountant.
We do not deal in silver, platinum or palladium, and we do not buy jewellery, scrap or plated items.
