The Austrian four ducat is a restrike of a coin that circulated across central Europe for centuries — .986 fine, thin and broad, and unlike anything struck today. Its high fineness makes it soft, so it marks easily.

This is a restrike, not a historical coin. Every four ducat carries the date 1915 regardless of when it was actually struck. The Austrian Mint has produced them continuously since, and the coin you receive will be a modern striking.
